The Departments

Four ways to serve. Read the roles, then pick your first choice when you register. A coordinator will reach out to confirm your spot.

Check-In

A huge welcome, and the first stop of the day.
  • Give volunteers a huge welcome as they arrive
  • Check them in & help direct them to their stations
  • Connect them to the Volunteer Care Station for anything they need through the day
Best for: warm, welcoming, organized

Ushers / Welcome

First faces, and the flow of the crowd.
  • Greet arrivals & make people feel at home
  • Direct foot traffic at entries and the march gate
  • Help people find the lawn, water, and exits
Best for: outgoing, on-your-feet energy

Security & Facilities Crew

The backbone — setup, grounds, teardown.
  • Set up tables, tents, hydration stations & signage
  • Keep supplies stocked & watch the grounds
  • Trash sweeps & full teardown clean after close
Best for: hands-on, physical, dependable

Volunteer Care

Keeping our teams refreshed, energized, and cared for.
  • Provide & distribute water, hydration & snacks to volunteers
  • Check in on team members throughout the day
  • Help ensure everyone has what they need to serve well
Best for: attentive, encouraging, servant-hearted
On-Site Coordination
Volunteer Coordinator & Team  — on-site Sept 5 to welcome you and direct volunteers to their stations.

Proposed department locations at Discovery Green — the pavilion/stage anchors the crowd on the main lawn. Final spots are confirmed closer to the day. Your coordinator will point you to yours.
